Following the success of the 2014 Montreal-Toronto Retrospective Series, the Fabienne Colas Foundation would like to initiate a monthly movie night during which it will screen a narrative film, a documentary film or a series of short films on the realities of Black people (recent or old). A discussion will be organized at the end of the screening. These debates will feature specialists or artists who deal with the topic at hand and who will exchange ideas and points of view and answer questions from the audience.

For the films chosen, priority will be given to independent black productions from around the world, in collaboration with the Montreal International Black Film Festival and the Toronto Black Film Festival. This is a unique year-round opportunity for the general public to see films that they would, otherwise, not get to see anywhere else!

Possible monthly movie night themes:
– Integration
– Immigration
– Human conditions in developing countries
– Art and creativity
– Identity, history and traditions
– Bullying

Help us bring this project to life!
