"The smallest action is better than the greatest intention!"
We can do so much more with your help. Support the movement!
Black artists are the most marginalized and underserved group in the country’s arts communities. They are neither seen nor heard. We need your help today to better support these artists in these difficult times.
Support our initiatives and the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Being Black in Canada program that enables 35 emerging black filmmakers from Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, Calgary, Ottawa, and Vancouver to create their first short documentary film. The program provides free training, mentoring, professional equipment, editing studios, and professional crews to help them through the creative and filmmaking process from start to finish. Following the program, we screen their films at Black Film festivals in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, Calgary, Ottawa, Vancouver, and elsewhere. Created films are broadcast on television stations (CBC, Télé-Québec, and TFO).
Your donation will make filmmakers’ dreams come true and promote inclusion of diversity in front of and behind the camera. Though we cannot provide a charitable receipt, we appreciate your tremendous support which will have a significant impact.
Together, we can create a fairer society where diversity, our country’s greatest asset, is valued, encouraged, and celebrated.
